Susan Senn Bouffard (pronounced: bŏŏ făr ḏ) wants interior home designs to provide unbridled, intimate perception in the eyes of the beholder.  Each room of a home should be its own unique experience.

Originally from the Midwest and now a permanent resident of 30A, along the alluring Gulf of Mexico Florida shores, Susan’s practical philosophy doesn’t identify with any one particular style.  Consequently she brings a welcomed diversity to design at the beach.  Susan is essentially eclectic, simply sophisticated and casually coastal.  Bridge Water Designs expounds the theory that the use of color inside the home should be embraced because the whole kit and caboodle does not have to be white.

Fabrics, paint colors and furniture styles were not always at the forefront of Susan’s professional career.  After completing post-graduate school, most working time was concentrated in health care administration.  For the past twenty-five plus years, following her masters degree, Susan operated two healthcare companies, unquestionably on a contrasting periphery of the creativity spectrum.  But the business experience of working with very large medical providers across the country has groomed her well to make smart decisions in interior design. She gained invaluable practical experience for color and style during eleven personal design changes in her own homes, four new constructions and three major renovations; something not inconsequential as the precursor to Bridge Water Designs.  Her passion is design.

Susan’s zealousness has served as the impetus for the recent completion of interior design courses including sustainability and greener product choices; history of interior design; creating and manufacturing textiles and design for aging in place. Curriculum will also involve kitchen and bath layouts; lighting; residential and commercial design, building codes, architectural software for room layouts and non-textile construction materials such as wood, plastic, stone, masonry, glass, paint and wall coverings.

She aspires to be smarter and more educated when adding color and mixing styles.  Eclectic visualizations should encourage reciprocal collaboration with the client... something that can be impactful yet delightful... stimulating... refreshing... and of course kinetically captivating.

“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others...”
